Amber Brouwer

I'm amber and I am a central defender for Oranje-Rood, after 11 years at HC Den Bosch (three with the First team).
Energetic, disciplined, and creative, I bring these qualities on and off the field.
Alongside hockey, I coach and teach fitness, and I’m finishing my Sport Marketing degree at the Johan Cruyff Academy.

Proudest career milestone

I’ve been part of all the national youth teams (U16, U18, and U21 ) which gave me the opportunity to play many matches abroad. One of the things I’m most proud of is that I got to play for a year in the Den Bosch Ladies 1 team together with my sister, Anouk Brouwer.

Right now, I’m really developing both as a player and as a person at Oranje-Rood, and I truly feel there’s still so much more to come!

What drew you to Brabo Hockey

What drew me to Brabo is that it truly feels like a brand that fits me, not just as a player, but also as a person. I’m from Brabant (south of the Netherlands) myself, so there’s a natural connection. I really like Brabo’s bold and powerful look, and their approach to customization is something I value a lot. Since I’m quite tall and I dragflick, I need a longer and different stick than usual, and Brabo offers the flexibility to tailor their sticks to my needs. That kind of attention to detail and personal fit aligns perfectly with how I approach my sport — focused, authentic, and always looking for the best performance.

ultimate hockey goal

I still hope to one day make it to the Dutch national team, and if that doesn’t happen, my goal is to become a key player for Oranje-Rood Ladies 1.
